The Airport

So we did not have long before we were to go pick them up at the airport. We were told that there would be people there to tell us what they were saying. So we could find out about their trip, their likes & things they did not like. Just to let them get to know us better before we just got in the car & drive away with them.So when the day came we would be ready.
Well when we got there everyone was there. Lots of people that could talk to them, & some that had already been adopted from their homes. There was a good turn out, I am guessing about 40 people, not bad.
It was very soon when the kids started coming out. I saw the four of them coming & I wanted to cry. They were very tiny not just in how tall they were but in how thin that were. So like I said I was a very bad guess on clothes. The two littlest one were close to their age size, but the older ones were not even close.
They walked up to us with big unsure smiles on their faces. They just would not talk to anyone they were very shy. They liked Destiny so that was good. Other then that there was to much going on around them for them to do to much talking. So we gathered them all up & went to go get their bag from bag check. As we were doing that the lady that came with them grabbed the littlest one & took off. Tell me that is not scary to just get four kids & someone just taking one of them before you can turn around. She was just taking him down stairs but that was bad for me. I just got very upset & grabbed two others & headed for the stairs to go get him & ask her not to take him again. She laughed at us & said she was just trying to help us with them. I told her she should have told us what she was doing before she did it so I would not get so upset.
When we got down there the little one thought the bag thing was for riding. Try to get a 4 year old off something with out making him cry or start screaming, not fun. As everyone stood there & watched us but not one person came to help. So we got them all calmed down & ready to go. The walk to the car was good. One of the oldest talked all the way there, I could not understand anything she was saying., but she was very happy & smiled the hole way. We got to the car & put the little ones in car seats. Witch they did not mind at all. It was a good ride home with all smiles & singing.

Back to the story.

Well as I was saying. We started looking at the book again. The book had a lot of kids missing now. Instead of 20-30 kids in it it only had maybe ten. there was only one girl that we saw have we might host. She was 12 1/2 & looked like she could fit in our family very nicely. Very pretty & smart & out going. She also had her best friends coming here. Well we found out a family in MT was wanting her so she was out of the pitcher. ( after it was all over they are not going to adopt her ) They were not hosting to adopt witch made us very sad, as we want her to find a home for her as she only had a little longer tell she ages out. She is very pretty so we know what will happen to her when that happens.
So we were going to wait again. After they had all the kids matched we thought maybe next year we would host. About two weeks after they had matched all the kids we got an e-mail asking us if we still wanted to host the kids. We said OH YA! So we thought we were going to host the three older ones as that had been told to us before, that the little one could not come. Well when they asked us this time they asked if we would take them all. Well yes we would love to have them all, that way we would know him also. We had just seen his photo but did not know how old he was so that made it fun. So we asked for new paper work on the kids. Because everyone else that was hosting got a lot of info on the kid they were hosting. Well they had no paper work for the kids that was not two years old, & in that paper work they did not know his age. So we started to get ready. Luckily we had beds for them to sleep in. So we started getting clothes for them but with no info on how big they were we had to guess. Well you could say I am a bad guesser. With the help from Kids a Again, & Kids to Kids we got all their clothes. Well I thought I had. To put that short I had to go get the boys other stuff. The girls were lucky that I buy big stuff for Destiny.
I know got to go again. Well we are getting to the good stuff soon.

Countdown to Destiny
